A few years ago my merchant account provider for my photography business sold my email address, and now the spam is getting too unmanageable, so I've switched to farrarfocus at gmail.

Seems like just about everywhere has WIFI these days, I'm currently doing laundry on vacation in Yellowstone...

Interesting Wii Stuff

For a vastly under powered GPU, De Blob has some really impressive graphics on the Wii: good LOD, atmospheric distance effects, baked ambient occlusion, bloom, and lots of dynamic effects. Looks like a fun game too.

Another Wii variation on real-time painting, SPRay, also looks to have both interesting gameplay and graphics.

Insomniac's SPU Transformation

Insomniac is one of my favorite companies to watch because IMO they are in doing the transformation to parallel programming the right way, see their R&D tech page. Latest R2 footage is very impressive, especially in the graphics department at 60Hz (such as the lighting on the alpha cut geometry and ground cover). R2 is to feature 8 player co-op, and 60 player online multiplayer, quite impressive indeed. And in terms of later generation console titles and future PS4 technology, Insomniac should have quite an advantage with their current lead in parallel thinking!
