Looking for Feedback for a FFDD User Photo Contest
I'm thinking about doing some kind of FFDD User Development Contest, and would be highly interested in getting any feedback at .
Current rough ideas as of 2008/01/02 are,
Prize: Winner gets a huge (up to 72"x24") archival luster print of their image mailed to them in a tube, and a free subscription to all future FFDD updates. Top N images are hosted permanently on the contest page with a link to the photographers website, a short bio, and contact info, other thumbnails of their work, etc.
Entry: Send one NxM sized image to contest email address per photographer. Image gets posted on contest web gallery without photographers name (until after judging).
Judging: Not sure exactly the best thing to do here. Might not be fair for Kathryn and I to be the jury since we know some of our FFDD users personally. Instead perhaps either elect a jury from user submissions, or have a web based voting system with one vote per email address and a verification process to insure no person votes twice.
Theme: Initial idea of contest theme is Natural HDR. Perhaps if this works well, another contest with a different theme.
Rules: Must have used some part of FFDD in the creation of the photo (will have to be stated in entry). No nudity or photo content which could get me in trouble ;)
