Introduction / Install
For FFDD 5 users, there is no need to remove FFDD release 5 before installing FFDD release 6.
1. Unzip the ffdd6.zip file on your desktop. It contains a ffdd6 folder with the following files :
FFDD6-Actions.atn ................. Actions.
FarrarFocus-Batch.jsx ............. Batch script.
ProPhotoRGB-Gamma18.icc ........... Color profile.
ProPhotoRGB-Gamma22.icc ........... Color profile.
ProPhotoRGB-Gamma30.icc ........... Color profile.
ProPhotoRGB-Linear.icc ............ Color profile.
2. With Adobe Photoshop closed, copy the FarrarFocus-Batch.jsx script file into Photoshop's Presets/Scripts/ directory. For Mac users this directory can be found in the /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS2 folder (or similar folder for CS3 users), and for PC users in the C:\Program Files\Adobe\ folder. When Adobe Photoshop is launched, the FFDD script will be found in the Files->Scripts sub-menu.
For reference, the Scripts folder should also contain files like,
Export Layers To Files.jsx
Image Processor.jsx
Layer Comps To Files.jsx
...
3. Copy all the *.icc color profile files into /Library/ColorSync/Profiles for Mac users. For Windows users, right-click a profile and select Install Profile, or copy the profiles into the WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\color folder.
4. Start up Photoshop. In the Actions Pallet Menu as seen below, click on the Load Actions... menu item.
5. This will bring up a file dialog. Find and select the FFDD6-Actions.atn file on the harddrive. Click Load to load the actions into Adobe Photoshop. To use the actions most efficiently, be sure Button Mode in the Actions Pallet Menu is activated.
