The goal of the Spark Tank Social Innovation Challenge is to empower social entrepreneurs to change the world. The challenge is open to most registered 503(c) organizations with a two year history. Applications for this round of the challenge are being accepted through July 15, 2016. The winner of $5000.00 for round one of Spark Tank is Dogs Matter. Today, the organization feeds and houses over 200 people per day. It operates on the theory that a hand up is better than a hand out, and has an annual budget in the millions of dollars.
With the Spark Tank Social Innovation Challenge, Marc Sparks is making it a point to make positive change in the world. His long-term involvement with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, The Samaritan Inn, and his “Sparky’s Kids” foundation point to a man with a heart as big as his brain. By applying wisdom gained in the business world to the world of non-profits, he is helping so many people turn their lives around!
