Prestigious law firm, Kisling, Nestico & Redick (KNR) is a long-time supporter of Ohio communities for children and their families. On May 24th, 2019, its lawyers and staff surprised 12 children with a $3,000 shopping spree at Meijer. They accompanied them during their KNR Cares About Kids Campaign along with The Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Central Ohio. For many years, the firm continues to hold events every month in the communities they serve in Columbus, Toledo, Akron and eight other cities. KNR started the year of 2019 by partnering with Summit County Child Services (SCCS) to give children in their custody personal care packages.
Robert Redick, Gary Kisling, and Rob Nestico organized KNR Personal Injury Law Firm in 2005 and in a few years served local communities. The three lawyers found the firm in Akron, OH and received remarkable growth throughout the state with approximately 31 attorneys joining its legal team. Gary, Rob, and Robert formed the KNR Cares About Kids Campaign to focus on seeking ways to motivate and inspire children to reach their potential goals in life. With such growth within the firm, the legal team of attorneys and staff devote time to interact with these kids while donating money to different organizations and charities in Greater Ohio. They believe in hands-on involvement and their continuous support is visible at each monthly event held in designated locations.
To celebrate Kisling, Nestico & Redick Law Firm’s 12th anniversary, the attorneys made a commitment to give to charitable organizations each month in 2019. The year began in January with Kisling, Nestico & Redick donating personal hygiene items, such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, and other care products. The team of lawyers and the staff took the time to prepare and deliver these care packages to 75 children in the child protective program at SCCS. The following month they helped raised $30,000 in funds for the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank at the Annual Portage Lakes Polar Bear Jump Event. Over the years, Kisling, Nestico & Redick helped organizations raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to help these communities overcome poverty and adversity in donations and mentorship.

A Dallas-based has shown itself to be a different kind of energy provider in more than one way. Stream Energy is a supplier of energy, wireless services and home security solutions. The firm has demonstrated robust growth since it was founded in 2005.
The company has extended a presence into seven states, including Texas, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Georgia, Maryland and Illinois. It also has a growing presence in Washington D.C. It was the first firm to take advantage of Texas’ move to deregulate its electricity market.
But a growing customer base and healthy profits prompted Stream Energy from and early stage to develop a policy of giving back to its community. To that end, it created one of the most active and aggressive philanthropic organization within the energy sector.
That proved prescient in 2017 when Hurricane Harvey slammed into Texas bringing with it devastating rain and historic flooding. Stream Energy was among the first NGOs to step up. It supplied financial and other forms of aid to thousands of citizens clobbered by Harvey.
Industry observers called Stream Energy’s efforts to help in the wake of Harvey a “textbook example” of how a Dallas-based corporation leverages charity and philanthropy to support the community that has enabled it to thrive as a business.
In addition to moving in quickly with hurricane relief, Stream Energy has shown itself frequently to be a company that has strived to infuse philanthropy seamlessly into its fundamental corporate culture. It has formed partnerships with Habitat for Humanity and the Red Cross.
It also launched a major project in cooperation with Hope Supply Co. The latter serves homeless children. Stream energy working with Hope supply recently paid for the entrance and meal costs of more than 1,000 North Texas homeless children in the annual Splash for Hope event.
Yet another example is Steam’s work with Operation Once in a Lifetime. This effort provided moral and financial support to Dallas-area veterans and their families. It wasn’t just a donation of cash. Stream Energy donated transportation to veterans during a special event that provided a ribs, burgers and steaks feast at a favorite local restaurant.

Recently, Ara Charackerian came up with a new venture, TMS Health Solutions. Ara argues that the primary aim of TMS is to expand the out-patient diagnostic radiology to a different level. The Transcranial magnetic stimulation is a model which aims at treating people with depression. According to Ara, TMS will be a third pillar to treating depression alongside medication and talk therapy. Ara goes ahead to say that the superior vision behind TMS is to have the patient and the doctor reach a desired ending in a manner that will favor the patient more than the doctor both concerning experience and treatment. Currently, there are seven TMS Facilities within the Bay area and Sacramento that have come up since Ara Chackerian and partners came up with the idea.

The recent deaths of admired and beloved celebrities to suicide have once again turned our hearts and minds to the tragic and scary reality of mental illness. For over seventy years, May has been designated Mental Health Month. During the month of May, therapist and other health officials have tried to reach millions through media campaigns, local heath events, and free screenings designed specifically to identify and focus on mental health problems. Mental illness can show up anywhere, but for Roseann Bennett its appearance in marriage is a cause for concern.
Roseann Bennett is an accomplished and compassionate marriage and family therapist who has for over ten years worked with individuals of diverse backgrounds. She is a business leader who has devoted herself to treating and being an advocate for those individuals and families who are the disenfranchised and marginalized members of our communities.
Roseann Bennett’s goal in life has always been helping people through life’s struggles and nowhere is that help more needed than in marriages. She has found that many of the married couples that she works with find themselves in that proverbial rock and a hard place between separation and divorce because of chronic depression. According to Roseann Bennett 15 million American adults have experienced major bouts with depression.
The hurt of mental illness in a marriage is not due solely to depression. The real problem is failing to acknowledge and address depression. The angry marriage that results from the unaddressed depression of one spouse may put the burden of holding things together on the other. Feelings of alienation because a spouse is left to do so many things alone can lead to a loss of intimacy and can result in infidelity. See Related Link for more information.
Depression is an illness, and like any illness it must be treated. If professional counseling is needed, getting it is a decision both spouses should agree to. Life before, during, and after depression is possible, but it will require work, patience, and love. The depressed individual must take control working to change those things that he can. Together, they must address the stigma of mental illness, and finally they must trust in their love to see them through.
